Fundraising Event to Benefit Idlewild Historic & Cultural Center and Detroit Stylin' Skate Club
Join us for a day of community, culture, and fun at a special fundraising event on Saturday, July 18, 2026, benefiting the Idlewild Historic & Cultural Center and the Detroit Stylin' Skate Club.
The day begins at the Idlewild Historic & Cultural Center from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., where visitors can browse a variety of crafts, vendors, enjoy delicious offerings from food trucks, and experience the spirit and rich history of Historic Idlewild inside the Cultural Center Exhibit Hall.
The excitement continues from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Yates Township Gymnasium, featuring an energetic Performance & Open Skate event hosted by the Detroit Stylin' Skate Club. Watch talented skaters showcase their skills, then hit the rink yourself during the open skate session. Admission is $20 per person, with proceeds supporting both organizations and their missions to preserve history, promote culture, and create meaningful opportunities within the community.
Bring your family and friends for a memorable day of entertainment, shopping, great food, and community support. Your participation helps strengthen two organizations dedicated to celebrating heritage, inspiring youth, and keeping the legacy of Historic Idlewild alive.
